Welcome to the official website of RS Carpentry Private Limited (“RS Carpentry”, “we”, “our” or “us”), a renovation contractor and carpentry manufacturer registered in Singapore. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website at rscarpentry.com.sg (the “Website”) and any enquiry, quotation, contract or service provided by us.

By accessing or using our Website, submitting an enquiry, requesting a quotation or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Website or services.

1. About RS Carpentry

RS Carpentry Private Limited is a Singapore-incorporated company established in 2016, providing renovation and carpentry services for HDB flats, BTO units, resale flats, condominiums, landed properties and commercial premises. We operate our own carpentry factory in Woodlands, Singapore.

We are:

  • HDB Registered Contractor (Licence No. HB-05-5960D)
  • BCA Registered Contractor (Building and Construction Authority of Singapore)
  • CaseTrust-Accredited (Renovation Business)

2. Use of Website

You agree to use our Website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use of the Website. In particular, you agree not to:

  • Use the Website in any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful manner
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, our systems or any related systems
  • Transmit any viruses, malware or other malicious code
  • Scrape, copy or reproduce content from the Website without our prior written consent
  • Submit false, misleading or impersonating information through our enquiry form

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any user who breaches these Terms.

3. Enquiries and Quotations

Submission of an enquiry through our Website, WhatsApp, email or any other channel does not create a binding contract. All enquiries are treated as a request for information only.

Quotations issued by RS Carpentry are:

  • Based on the scope of work, materials and specifications discussed at the time of quotation
  • Valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated in writing
  • Subject to a physical site survey and confirmation of actual site conditions
  • Subject to revision if the scope, materials, design specifications or site conditions change

A binding contract is only formed when a written quotation is signed and accepted by both parties and the agreed deposit is received.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on our Website — including but not limited to text, images, photographs, project portfolios, articles, logos, trademarks, designs, 3D renderings and software — is the property of RS Carpentry Private Limited or its licensors and is protected by Singapore and international copyright laws.

You may view and print pages from our Website for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, transmit, republish or use any content from our Website for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

Any design proposals, drawings, layouts and 3D visualisations prepared by RS Carpentry remain our intellectual property unless expressly assigned to the customer in writing under the renovation contract.

5. Reviews, Testimonials and Project Photos

Photographs taken of completed projects may be used by RS Carpentry for marketing purposes — including on our Website, social media, brochures and presentations — unless the customer has expressly opted out in writing. We will, where reasonable, omit personally identifiable information from such marketing materials.

By submitting a review or testimonial to RS Carpentry, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish and use that content for marketing purposes, with attribution as you have provided.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • RS Carpentry shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Website or our services.
  • Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with any project shall not exceed the total contract sum paid by the customer to RS Carpentry under that specific renovation contract.

Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Singapore law.

7. Third-Party Links and Platforms

Our Website may contain links to third-party websites and platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Google Maps and supplier websites) for your convenience. RS Carpentry does not endorse or assume any responsibility for the content, privacy practices or terms of those third-party sites. Use of such sites is at your own risk.

8. Privacy

Our collection, use and disclosure of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using our Website or services, you also agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.

9. Termination

RS Carpentry reserves the right to terminate or suspend access to the Website, or any enquiry process, at any time without notice and without liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.

The parties agree that any dispute arising shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. Where the dispute relates to a renovation contract and falls within the scope of the CaseTrust-RCMA Joint Renovation Claims Settlement Scheme, the parties may refer the dispute to mediation under that scheme. Failing resolution, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our Website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Website or our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.20. Contact Us
